Only for what they accompished in the 80's and early 90's. Anything from Load and after is questionable. That's not to say any of it was bad, it just wasn't the Metallica I knew and loved. I think they felt they had to go in some new direction for some reason. From the way it sounds, maybe they're getting back on the right track. I still feel Metallica is the greatest band on Earth.
