Machine Head has been announced as one of the opening acts for the Metallica show at the new Wembley on July 8th.

Metallica, Kasabian, Pussycat Dolls, and Terra Naomi are the final acts to be added to the Live Earth London line-up performing at Wembley Stadium as part of the 24-hour, 7-continent Live Earth concert series on 7/7/07.
Lars Ulrich of Metallica: “I love my sons. I want them to “inherit the Earth” FOR REAL! We keep waiting for future generations to solve the problems; to invent cleaner technology; to pay the costs…that’s the same as passing the buck. I want the buck to stop here, now. I want lawmakers and laws to impose change. Nothing else will keep this world safe for my sons.”
Metallica is back in their HQ to rehears for the upcoming European tour. Winners from different radio contests were invited in the HQ and they watched as Metallica played this setlist:

Lars Ulrich threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Oakland Athletics game vs. the Boston Red Sox baseball game on Thursday, June 7th. Lars was there with his son Miles and members of Miles’ class.
Rob has given interview in Greek RockHard magazine and some interesting points are:
- They are working on 14 songs.
- All backing tracks have been recorded.
- The two new songs from 2006 tour are not on the album.
- Some parts of the 2006 tour new songs will be in other songs on the album.
- Guitar solos are back.
- Album sounds dynamic, heavy and groovin’.
- Dynamics of Master Of Puppets and melodies of The Black Album.
- It is not “Master Of Puppets 2″.
- The band thinking of playing entire Master Of Puppets album on tour this year again.
Lets hope this last point will not be true. Last year it was Master Of Puppets album anniversary and a great way to support one of the best Metallica albums. This year it wouldn’t be so exclusive and special.

Metallica fanclub chapter Belgian Fuel will host a party on September 15th. Interesting thing is that Metallica influencers Diamond Head will play live at the party. Looking at their 2007 European tour setlists they play all the Metallica favourites from debut album Lightning To The Nations

Lars Ulrich and Connie Nielsen became the proud parents of a boy, Bryce Thadeus Ulrich-Nielsen on Monday May 21st in San Francisco.
Lars also called in “The Opie & Anthony Show” on Friday. He talked about Mercyful Fate, Rolling Stones and Black Sabbath.
